How to Help

1. Learn the facts and talk about it

Raising awareness of this epidemic is the key to helping our county and our country do more to help our children. Letting teens, parents and siblings know it is okay to talk about mental health issues with the person they see suffering helps reduce the stigma that keeps so many silent and feeling alone in their struggles.

2. Volunteer with us

We not only need funding to help us continue the important work we do in schools that is proving successful, but we need volunteers to help us implement these programs as well. Your time saves the lives that are too young to be lost to suicide. Send an email to [email protected].

3. Partner with us

If you’re an organization that helps teenagers in a complementary aspect, consider becoming a partner with us. Or if you are a business who wants to save the youth that will make up our workforce in the future, help us by sponsoring a program we offer. There’s so much that can be done when we band together.

4. Donate

Your tax-deductible donation can help fund critical programs in schools that empower our youth to reach out in times of need so that they never turn to suicide. Click here to see how your money will be used to help schools.

5. Create your own fundraiser to benefit JAF

Hosting a birthday party and want to collect donations for JAF instead of presents? Running a race and want to raise funds for JAF? Click here and then select “Fundraise for your Charity” followed by “Create a Fundraising Project” and you’ve now created your own page that you can send out to family members, friends and co-workers spreading JAF’s message while asking for support!

6. Shop to benefit JAF

Amazon will donate 0.5% of eligible purchases if you shop on Amazon Smile, which contains all the same products, prices, and services as regular Amazon. So in other words, it’s the best of both worlds: you can shop, and JAF benefits!
