Lauren Anderson is a graduate of Langley HS in 2005 and UVA in 2009, earning a Bachelors of Science degree in Commerce. She then went on to work as a financial analyst at Brookwood Associates, a middle-market investment banking form in Atlanta, GA. After two years, she returned home in July 2011 to put her energy into The Josh Anderson Foundation, evolving a Memorial Fund into an active Foundation that provides adolescents with the mental health education, resources and support so that they never turn to suicide. Lauren is also a certified yoga instructor and teaches all ages and levels of students – from pre-schoolers to teens and adults.

Garrett Halpert hails from Ann Arbor, Michigan. He graduated from Ann Arbor Pioneer high school in 2012, and the University of Michigan in 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology, a long-pursued passion. Garrett joins the JAF mission one year after completing a year of service with the Americorps City Year program, working as an ELA tutor and near-peer mentor at Turner elementary in Southeast D.C. He is excited and motivated to make an impact on adolescent’s mental well-being, and the prevention of suicide among teenagers.
